Talk2Talk
Welcome to a new way of messaging where simplicity meets privacy.
We understand that in today’s world, our inboxes and social feeds are overwhelmed
with messages that aren't always essential. Sometimes, all you need is a quick
chat—a place to exchange information without clogging up your primary channels.
That’s where Talk2Talk come in.
Our service is designed to let you communicate easily without the
hassle of logins, signups, or data tracking. Just open your browser, connect, and chat.
There’s no need to remember passwords, worry about cookies, or share personal details like
email addresses or phone numbers. We don’t collect your personal data, data that can be
pinpointed to you; we’re here solely to make fast, no-strings-attached messaging possible.
Whether you’re chatting with friends, family, or colleagues, simply share a link or QR code
and start a conversation. If you want someone to follow along without responding, you can
even create a read-only channel for them. And if you prefer to stay anonymous—no problem.
There’s no need to share your social media, phone number, or any identifying information.
We’re here for quick, meaningful interactions that you don't want to clogg your device.
Fast, private, and easy—welcome to messaging as it should be.
We keep things simple and clear for everyone using our rooms:
- Each room can store up to the 100 latest messages. If you send more than
100 messages, only the most recent 100 will be available. - Message can be up to 1000 characters
- Rooms expire after 3 days of inactivity. If no messages are sent for 3 days,
the room will no longer be accessible. - You can add a password to encrypt your messages,
or leave it blank for no encryption. You can also add or change the password
later, just make sure others in the room know the new password. - Encryption is done on your local machine, key is generated from your password
(password is hashed to 128bit key using SHA256) - For encryption AES-GCM algorithm is used
- If there is an error while sending a message, the message box will be highlighted in red.
- If the password is incorrect the message box will be highlighted in red.
- Because you don't need to have an account, we will store copy of messages
locally on your browser with the information that tells your browser
did you have sent that message - Any illegal activities won't be tolarated!!!
- This is demo project, please don't share any sensitive information
- We are not responsible for the submitted data
- Information that is permanently stored: room id, room key, message (if set -> encrypted), ip address
- It is recommended from time to time to clear your browser local storage to free up space
You can share rooms with QR codes in two ways:
- Read-only: The user can only view messages but cannot write
(still need to know a password) - Read and write: The user can read and write
But if you find it easier, you can just share the link to the room.
